About

This blog is dedicated to exploring and explaining deaf-blindness, with a view toward providing resources to teachers who want to know more about students with this disability. It is a project for the Teaching Students with Disabilities in the General Education Classroom (SPCE 302) class at Ball State University in Summer 2016, and was created by James Davisson.

In keeping with the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), attempts have been made to reach out to many different kinds of learners in the creation of this blog. Each page includes not only text and, where possible, visuals, but also an audio recording of the text and a downloadable Braille transcription. It is hoped that these features may make the page more accessible not only for learners with physical disabilities, but also for those with different learning styles, such as aural and visual learners.
